Eagle Intelligence collects minimal data. Specifically:

We store the following data locally in your browser only. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers:
- Reading streak — tracks your consecutive daily reading activity
- Dark mode preference — remembers your display setting
- Poll votes — records which polls you have voted in to prevent duplicate votes
- Article view counts — tracks articles you have viewed
- Comments — stores comments you post in the article comment sections
- Comment author name and role — saved for convenience when commenting again
- Liked comment IDs — tracks which comments you have liked
Server-side data
Our servers collect standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, page accessed, and timestamp. These logs are used for security and performance monitoring and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Poll vote counts are aggregated server-side without personally identifiable information.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not require account registration or collect email addresses (unless you subscribe to our newsletter)
- We do not collect payment information
- We do not sell your data to any third party
- We do not use advertising tracking pixels or cross-site tracking cookies
- We do not use fingerprinting or behavioural profiling
3. Newsletter Subscription
If you subscribe to the Eagle Intelligence newsletter, your email address is collected and processed by our newsletter provider (Beehiiv). Your email is used solely to deliver the newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. Please review Beehiiv's privacy policy for details of how they handle subscriber data.

Eagle Intelligence uses minimal cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details. We use:
- Essential cookies — required for the website to function
- localStorage — browser storage for preferences and reading data (not technically cookies, but similar in function)
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Eagle Intelligence uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

- Picsum Photos — article thumbnail images (picsum.photos)
- AISstream.io — live vessel position data on the map page
