1. Overview

Eagle Intelligence (“we”, “our”, “the Platform”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, which service providers receive it, how long it is kept, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

Automatically Collected

Analytics data: If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect usage data including pages visited, time on site, referral sources, device type, and general geographic region.
Hosting measurement: Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights record anonymous, aggregated page views and page-performance figures for every visitor. They set no cookie and do not identify you.
Cookies: We use essential storage for theme preference (light/dark mode) and your cookie choice, kept in your browser's localStorage. Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner (see our Cookie Policy); Google Analytics uses its own cookies as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Voluntarily Provided

Contact form: The form on the contact page (and the developer access form) collects your name, work email, organisation (optional) and message. These are forwarded as a message to Eagle's private Telegram chat so we can reply. Messages sent to us by email or social media are kept in that mailbox or account.
Newsletter subscription: If you request the email digest, your email address is sent to Beehiiv, our newsletter provider, solely for delivering the digest. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Ask Eagle questions: When Ask Eagle is enabled, the text of your question is sent to xAI to generate the answer, and the question text is written to our hosting provider's runtime logs without your IP address or any other identifier. Do not include personal, medical or claim details in a question.

To understand how visitors use the Platform and improve our content

To answer Ask Eagle questions and learn which topics readers ask about
To maintain and improve the Platform's functionality

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. Service Providers That Receive Data

We share personal data only with the providers below, and only for the purpose stated.

Google Analytics: Usage tracking, only after you accept cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google AdSense (advertising): We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and third-party vendors use cookies — including the Google/DoubleClick advertising cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and manage advertising cookies at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu. Third-party vendors' use of advertising cookies is governed by their own policies; see How Google uses cookies in advertising. Every visitor is asked first: AdSense loads, and requests ads, only after you accept in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that choice at any time on the Cookie Policy page.
Vercel: Hosting provider. Vercel serves the site, runs Web Analytics and Speed Insights, and holds our runtime logs, which include Ask Eagle question text. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Beehiiv: Newsletter provider. Receives the email address you submit to a digest form. See Beehiiv's Privacy Policy.
Telegram: Receives contact-form submissions (name, email, organisation, message), which are delivered to Eagle's private Telegram chat. See Telegram's Privacy Policy.
xAI: Receives the text of Ask Eagle questions, together with Eagle's own published coverage, to generate an answer. No IP address or identifier is sent with the question. See xAI's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Analytics data (Google Analytics): Kept for the data-retention period set on our Google Analytics property, which Google limits to at most 14 months.
Cookie consent and theme preferences: Stored locally in your browser (no server-side retention).
Contact messages: Kept in our Telegram chat or mailbox as long as needed to handle the inquiry, and deleted on request.
Ask Eagle questions: Kept in Vercel's runtime logs for the log-retention period of our hosting plan.
Newsletter subscriptions: Kept by Beehiiv until you unsubscribe.

6. Your Rights (Philippine DPA / GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to access your personal data
Right to correction of inaccurate data
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
Right to restrict processing
Right to data portability
Right to object to processing

7. AI Data Processing

Eagle Intelligence uses artificial intelligence to aggregate, analyze, and present maritime intelligence from publicly available sources.
AI processing includes: natural language processing of news feeds, pattern recognition for threat assessment, automated categorization and urgency scoring.
Eagle does not use personal data to train AI models.
Ask Eagle questions are processed by xAI as described in section 4.
AI-generated content is clearly labeled and verified against primary sources.

8. International Data Transfers

The providers in section 4 may process data outside the Philippines, including in the United States, under their own data processing terms.
Website is hosted on Vercel's global edge network; content may be served from servers in multiple jurisdictions.

9. Security Measures

All connections encrypted via TLS 1.3
Content Security Policy enforced
Cross-Origin isolation headers active
No user passwords or payment data collected
Regular security header audits

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
