Who is responsible

Eagle Intelligence is published by Eagle Intelligence and was founded by a seasoned seafarer with decades of experience at sea and in maritime crew manning. The founder designed our analysis methodology and editorial standards and is responsible for the publication.

Editorial oversight of our reviewed content is carried out by our Contributing Editor, who writes under the pen name Alexi Villamar. Alexi Villamar is the pen name of a maritime professional with over a decade of experience across seafarer employment and welfare. The writer uses a pseudonym because their day-to-day work overlaps with the subjects Eagle reports on. The Contributing Editor reviews and sets standards for our flagship briefings; the name is disclosed as a pseudonym, and only the name is invented — the experience it represents is real. Accountability for the publication rests with the organization and the contact channel below.

How our content is produced

Most Eagle briefings are generated by our automated maritime-analysis system, built and maintained by the founder on a documented methodology. Our daily flagship brief and Daily Review are published by that system on a schedule and are not individually reviewed before publication; the founder and our Contributing Editor, Alexi Villamar, read what is published, and correct or withdraw it when it falls short — every such action is recorded in the public corrections & withdrawals log. Only articles that display a “Reviewed by” credit and the “Human Reviewed” label were checked by a person before they went live. Automated Live Wire items and auto-published articles are labelled as such and carry a transparency note. We use automation to monitor open-source maritime data at the speed risk moves; the editorial judgement is set by practitioners, applied directly to the reviewed pieces and encoded in the system for the rest. We are transparent that our articles are AI-assisted in their drafting.

Sourcing & originality

We prioritise primary and reputable secondary sources and link to them. Our original value lies in proprietary signals — the War-Risk Index, live chokepoint transit status, and crew-safety alerts — and in framing developments for maritime decision-makers. Aggregated headlines in our Live Wire feed are clearly labelled as third-party signals and link to the original publisher; they are not Eagle reporting.

Accuracy & corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. If you believe something is inaccurate, contact us and we will review it; material corrections are noted on the article and the “last updated” date is revised. Correction requests reach the Contributing Editor and the founder directly. Every material correction and every withdrawn article is recorded in our public corrections & withdrawals log.
