Allotment

A portion of wages the seafarer directs to a family bank account. The percentage and schedule are set in the contract, not by a news site calculator.

Manning agency

The licensed recruiter that processes the contract. Licence status should be checked on the official government site, not on social media screenshots.

SEC / POEA-SEC / DMW SEC

The standard employment contract form used for Filipino seafarers. Document numbers are identifiers, not proof that two forms are legally identical.

DMW / MARINA

Philippine government bodies for overseas employment and maritime certification. Use their official sites for licences and circulars.

STCW / SIRB / SID

Training and identity documents. Search aliases on this site help you find pages; they do not make the documents interchangeable.
