- Full rewrite in progress at IMO's HTW Sub-Committee (HTW 12 met Feb 2026): new training standards for alternative fuels (ammonia, hydrogen, methanol, LPG, batteries, wind-assist), a new fatigue and hours-of-work workstream, and modernization of certification structure. Will reshape every maritime curriculum and certificate when adopted.
