Prepare a family contact plan

Keep this on paper as well as on a phone. Another device will not have it unless you copy it. Do not store passport numbers or medical details in Eagle tools — this site does not keep a family case file.

  1. Manning agency name, licence number, and a phone/email from the contract or official letterhead.
  2. Ship name, IMO number, and the seafarer's rank — for the agency or union, not for social media.
  3. Next-of-kin details the agency already holds. Eagle does not collect family identities for news alerts.
  4. Welfare and official channels from the help directory, including whether a channel is emergency, welfare, or routine administration.
