When you cannot reach the seafarer

Missed calls happen on working ships: watch schedules, poor satellite coverage, company phone rules, and cost. Silence is not by itself evidence of an incident.

What to do, in order

1. Use the contact path in the employment contract or the agency's official instructions.
2. If you believe there is a welfare or industrial problem on board, use ITF Seafarers Support or ISWAN SeafarerHelp — those organisations publish their own channels.
3. For a life-threatening emergency, use local emergency services or the relevant maritime rescue coordination centre — not this website.
